Hey everyone! In this blog post I'm going to share some of the projects I will be working on over the summer and what I've been doing in the last month or so.
I'm getting very booked up for wedding projects this summer. Such a joy to play a small part in so many couples special days. This is my first summer designing wedding stationery since finishing uni so I'm really looking forward to creating more designs to add to my portfolio. Keep a look out for some of my summer wedding designs in my next blog.
Here's a Spring order of service I illustrated. This was on of my favourite projects to date. I just love the colour pallet and added details the couple chose. Floral motifs and boarders, double page spreads, elegant text and mini illustrations filled the booklet with character to match a wonderful service.
And matching thank you cards and bridesmaid cards with heart wax seals. A lovely little extra to fit the theme.
Netball - Make It Happen
In my previous blog you saw my ambassador netball design for Gilbert Netball. I have recently designed a summer ball for Lovell Netball. The design was based on the theme achieving your goals with the words 'Make It Happen' written on the ball. I wanted to incorporate sun, sea and mountains...everything I love about summer. It's not always an easy ride to reach your goals; there's a lot of ups and downs along the way depicted by the waves and mountains on the ball. If you put in the hard work this pays off and the illustration shows various little characters at the summit of the mountains 'achieving their goals' and 'making it happen'. I hope you like the design and if your looking for the perfect training ball for summer then head over to the Lovell Netball website to grab one.
This was a slightly different project I worked on recently. A logo design for Vetbiz - Livestock Development. Livestock development provides international project management, veterinary, business and research consultancy for livestock enterprises and for development partners. I really enjoyed working with them to create a simple but professional looking logo.
I would love to take on more projects like this in the future.
Along with lots of new wedding designing over the next few months I also have a some workshops booked in with primary schools. I have been planning an art workshop based on ancient Greece to deliver to a year 6 group so I'm looking forward to sharing more on this with you soon. I have an outdoor exhibition on the 10th July which I'm really excited about. I will be displaying my work around the Bollin Woods along with lots of other talented artists. Head over to the In to the Wild website to find out a bit more if you're interested in having a look around.
Thank you for taking the time to read about some of my projects. Lots to see me busy so keep a look out for the next blog update!
