Floral blues!

Yaz and Evan had some stunning ideas for their wedding! Floral blues were incorporated in to the bespoke designs for their save the dates and 'on the day' stationery items. Keep reading to see their gorgeous idea for a seating plan and table names too. Here's a little look at a few of their stationery items...

Save the Dates

Check out these striking floral save the dates to send out to their guests. I loved working on this design, collaging a mix of water colour and printed flowers to create a blue border along with a personalised illustration. The little image of the two of them with their gorgeous golden labrador really added a personal touch to the design. I'm a big fan of combining hand lettered text with elegant type faces and I think these two styles work really nicely on this design - a playful hand rendered 'save the date' with an easily readable sophisticated font for the extra information. To finish off the designs I printed them on textured paper with a silver envelope...blue and silver are a dreamy combo!

Table Decor

What a beautiful venue! Such a lovely space Yaz & Evan found to make their own. I had lots of fun making some wedding table stationery for them.

Firstly some wax seal name places. These have been super popular this year and can easily be customised to match your theme. Yaz and Evan opted for blue flower wax seals combined with blue card and blue lettering on vellum paper.

Menus and a top table sign with little floral motifs (matching the save the dates). I love the cork stands...I think they look great on any wedding table and they are a really easy way to stand up menus, table names/numbers or any other small signage you want displayed on your tables. Little hand lettered wooden blocks are also a lovely stand option and add a rustic feel to the decor.

Gin O'clock

Probably my favourite stationery I designed for Yaz and Evan was their gin themed items! Each of their tables was named after a flavour of Whitley Neill gin so these illustrated gin bottles were such a fun idea! Each table had a drawing of a gin bottle placed in a wooden stand so guests could find where they were sitting. Their seating plan was a creative crate display (pictured above). Framed guest lists, showing what table they were sat at, along with collected gin bottles to tie the display together. This idea is endless and can fit in with various themes that you might have for your big day.

What a lovely project, working on all these designs for Yaz and Evan. If you'd like to see more of ICillustrations wedding designs, check out the wedding section on my website...

Here's what Yaz and Evan had to say about their wedding stationery...

"Perfect!!! We just love them! Honestly, thank you so much Iona! They are so unique and it means so much more that they are hand made with such beautiful detail! Thank you for everything you’ve done and the beautiful designs! We love them so much."
